Remote First Aid

REMOTE FIRST AID

This is an extended first aid course for those who travel. Participants will learn to deal with everything from traffic accidents to mine explosions, tropical diseases, and travel-related illnesses. The course is particularly useful for high-risk travel, but also for trips to low- or medium-risk destinations, if situations may arise where you must deal with your own or others' injuries for a prolonged period of time. The training includes discussions about prevention and participants receive suggestions on what to bring on a trip to be prepared to deal with illness and injuries. The course includes a lot of active drills and practice.

It is important to us that participants leave the course strengthened with new tools and confidence in their own abilities and with a wish to continue travelling.

The instructors on the course have lots of travel experience and have tried their hand at most things within extended first aid. They can therefore give competent advice and guidance for any type of travel.

Has it been too long since the last first aid course? The Danish First Aid Council recommends first aid training every second year. This course includes the contents of a standard first aid course such as CPR and use of an AED. But the contents go far beyond the office setting, with training of massive bleeding, stabilization of injured people and much more.

The course will be conducted in English unless alle participants are comfortable with Danish.

WHEN THE NEAREST AMBULANCE IS FAR AWAY

BASIC FIRST AID

During the course, you will learn all the essential basic first aid skills, including:
Use of a defibrillator, CPR, first aid for traffic accidents, and handling unconscious individuals.

EXTENDED FIRST AID

In addition to basic first aid, you will also learn about:
Travel medicine, procedures for hospitalization abroad, injuries caused by accidents, violence or acts of war, first aid for animal and insect bites, and first aid for dehydration and temperature-related conditions.

GUIDE TO YOUR TRAVEL PHARMACY

We have created a guide for travelers heading to areas where access to medicine may be uncertain. By bringing a small supply of common over-the-counter medication, you can avoid minor injuries and common illnesses becoming major problems.

FIRST AID KIT

It is always a good idea to carry a first aid kit when traveling. A Travel&Risk first aid kit contains everything necessary to provide first aid for both minor and more serious injuries.

If you would like more information or wish to order a first aid kit, please contact us.

HEAT

A HEAT course prepares you to take care of yourself when traveling to medium- and high-risk areas.

During the course, our specialists train you in a wide range of topics, including first aid, natural disasters, terrorism, corruption, and much more.

"A big thank you for an incredibly interesting, exciting, and rewarding course. You are truly top professionals, and I can only give my highest recommendations.

I hope that more of my traveling colleagues will have the chance to learn and experience these important topics."
